Overview

Sina Nastarani is a Partner and a member of the Litigation and ADR Group at Valiant Law.

Sina's practice encompasses a wide range of civil and commercial disputes for both individuals and corporations across Ontario. Known for his strategic approach and practical problem-solving, Sina routinely advises clients through high-stakes and complex matters involving director and shareholder liability, contract disputes, confidentiality breaches, real estate and property issues, negligence and professional liability, and personal injury.

With a litigation style that balances tenacity with efficiency, Sina is recognized for guiding clients through contentious situations with clarity and confidence. He frequently assists emerging and established businesses in navigating legal conflicts that carry operational or reputational risk, and he is often sought out for dispute-resolution strategies that minimize disruption while maximizing client outcomes.

Prior to co-founding Valiant Law, Sina represented one of Canada's major banks in a broad spectrum of litigation, including social and commercial host liability, motor vehicle and auto negligence, property damage, loss transfer, priority disputes, and subrogation. He also has deep experience defending several prominent insurance companies in claims involving fraud and statutory accident benefits.

Sina has advised on notable franchising deals including BeaverTails' first international franchisee in Doha, Qatar—an engagement that highlights the breadth of his commercial and cross-border experience.

Sina has regularly appeared and obtained successful decisions before the Landlord and Tenant Board, Licence Appeal Tribunal, Superior Court of Justice, and Ontario Court of Justice.

Sina is fluent in English, Farsi, and Kurdish.

Sina is an active member of the Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals organization and previously volunteered as a Judge for Osgoode Hall Law School's Khalra Cup. Since his call to the bar, he has earned a certificate from the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop (ITAW) and frequently presents at Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs and legal seminars.
